Le Cool Guide to Dublin

Print

Visit Dublin and Web Summit wanted a guide to Dublin for attendees of the Web Summit. They asked LeCool Dublin to write the guide and Workhouse were asked to design the guide.

The brief was for the guide to have a simple, effective design and act as a trustworthy and credible city guide to Dublin for users.

About the project

The piece needed to be focussed on the needs of the non-local visitor, to assist in navigating the city geographically but also in terms of what’s on, what there is to see and do that is of interest.

As Web Summit puts it: “This guide has been made to capture contemporary Dublin, it’s a snap shot of all those things that excite us about living here right now. So allow us introduce you to Dublin’s best kept secrets, its buzziest bars, most moreish eateries and those things you really shouldn’t miss either on this trip here or your next. Our golden rule when it comes to listing a place is; would we recommend this to a friend?”

We created a 34-page spiral bound book so that it could be closed over on any page of interest, we used every trick in the book: perforated rip-off panels, die cut tabs and a debossed front cover. 6500 copies were made and distributed to attendees at the Dublin Web Summit.
