Medley Visual Identity

Ads, Logos, Packaging, Websites

We were delighted to create the visual identity, website and packaging system for Andrew Rudd’s Medley cafĂ©/bistro and events space on Fleet Street.

Andrew needed an identity system that felt “classy, simple, sophisticated and clean”, while being flexible enough to have impact on packaging and the ability to blend into the background during private events.

Project Details

We came up with a suite of colours and graphic elements that could be used to create any kind of advertisement, package or promotional material. We create dot pattern images to resemble newspaper images as a nod to the former use of the building as The Irish Times’ printworks. Over that we print a solid orange to contrast with the navy blue and give a bit of impact. This system plays out across the website, business cards, advertising and packages.

We also created a content managed single page parallax scrolling website. We provided training and a printed manual to help the team update the website themselves. The website is responsive so it looks great on a mobile phone as well as on a desktop computer.

The menu was also designed by Workhouse so that the staff can edit and print it on-site. This saves time and money, and means they can be flexible, changing dishes easily. We provided templates, training and printed instructions.

Finally we designed innovative light boxes that can have the Medley logo replaced with a client logo to customise the space for private events.

We continue to work with Medley as external brand managers.
